What Is All The Craziness About The Firefox Browser?

What Is All The Craziness About The Firefox Browser? [laptop computer firefox]
By Andres
The Firefox Browser is a hot topic among computer professionals because they know that this browser has many features than his counterpart, Internet Explorer from Microsoft, don't have. Microsoft has been very busy updating his software recently, although they haven't touched it for 6 years after they wiped out Netscape from the market in 2,001, but Microsoft normally acts this way, they only fix their software when things go wrong.

First of all, Firefox is a better-designed browser. No hurry to get more market share, as in case of Microsoft, makes people design systems better. The better is designed a system, the easier it is to update and to maintain, because the subsystems work between each other in a coordinated way.

Next comes the better navigational system. Firefox was the first to include tabbed browsing to allow multiple websites in the same window. If you try to do this with Internet Explorer 6.0, you will end up with so many windows opened that it could crash your computer.

You can update the functionality of the software. Instead of creating bloated software with an enormous list of features, the Mozilla Foundation created a solid piece of software that could be expanded every time users wish, using a component called "plugins". There are many plugins that you can add to Firefox to make it friendlier.

One important feature is the printing facility. Internet Explorer does not behave well while printing documents, but Firefox could adjust the size of the document
[laptop computer firefox]

to fit the page you are using.

The standards are also respected in Firefox. Maybe you don't mind about this, but a browser that respect web standards, help developers create web pages that look the same in other browsers and other devices. Microsoft added non-standard features on purpose so when developers started using them, these web sites looked very ugly in all other browsers. This is the main reason why many people thought that Internet Explorer was the best browser for a long time.

The most important thing about Firefox is that it was designed with security in mind. Firefox alerts about "phising" web sites. Those are web sites that look like the real thing, but are owned by other people which are able to read all what you type in there, including your login name, password, your personal data and all you write in the fake site. Last year, Phising sites defrauded more than 2 million people, converting this kind of risk in the most important in the line of "identity theft". Fortunately, Firefox helps you identify this kind of web pages, blocking access to those sites.

Although Firefox is a terrific tool to help you stop many threats from the Internet, it is very helpful that you know which are the many possible threats in order to reduce the probability to be the target of cyber-criminals that want to dry up your bank account in a blink of an eye.

Electronic Document Managements

Electronic Document Managements [electronic laptop computer]
By Hannah

Data protection is crucial for protecting your business's
continuity. Unnecessary failure such as
the business premises burn down to the ground, severe flooding, natural
disasters or even the computer hard disk failure are some lost that are
irretrievable. For adequate data protection, you need to establish a data
[electronic laptop computer]
backup system could archive business data regularly, create data backups on
reliable media and keep updated data backups in a secure, off-site location.
It’s also important to keep the files on your computer organized and
up-to-date. Just as with paper files, the goal of computer file management is
to ensure that you can find what you’re looking for, even if you’re looking for
it years after its creation.

Beginning in the 1980s, a number of vendors began developing
systems to manage paper-based documents. These systems managed paper documents,
which included not only printed and published documents, but also photos,
prints, etc. The earliest electronic document
management
(EDM) systems were either developed to manage proprietary
file types, or a limited

number of file formats. Many of these systems were
later referred to as document imaging
[electronic laptop computer]
systems, because the main capabilities were capture, storage, indexing and
retrieval of image file formats. These systems enabled an organization to
capture faxes and forms, save copies of the documents as images, and store the
image files in the repository for security and quick retrieval (retrieval was
possible because the system handled the extraction of the text from the
document as it was captured, and the text indexer provided text retrieval
capabilities. EDM systems evolved to where the system was able to manage any
type of file format that could be stored on the network. The applications grew
to encompass electronic documents, collaboration tools, security, and auditing
capabilities. The importance of document management system must be observed; document
archiving are preserved for future readability, the distribution must be
available for the people that need them, ease in retrieval and keeping the data
away unauthorized personnel from reading, modifying or destroying the
documents.

What To Look For In A Good Digital Audio Computer Interface

What To Look For In A Good Digital Audio Computer Interface [computer laptop guide]
By Richard
Sound waves are converted into binary language consisting of ones and twos, by computers using a translator. This translation is facilitated by digital audio computer interfaces. So, an interface is needed to get audio in and out of your computer fast.

Apart from audio channels, we also look for big bandwidth, as most downloads are done from the internet. So, a bandwidth intensive interface application is likely to prove more useful in recording audio and video from online sources. Also, the interface has to be portable.
[computer laptop guide]

Ideally a digital audio computer interface should be versatile, while providing good audio quality. Such an interface is useful for many devices such as DV cameras, hard drives, digital still cameras, professional audio, printers, scanners and home entertainment. Using the interface, you look to connect computer peripherals such as printers, scanners, modems, keyboards, displays (monitors), hard drives and CD-ROM drives.

The interface will not serve much purpose if compatible ports are not available in your PC, whether it is a Mac or a Windows PC; this is more likely in respect of an interface of a recognized brand. Even if you are buying an assembled PC, make sure that the retail motherboard incorporates the interface of your choice. Ideally, such an interface should include analog mic/line inputs, Phantom power and insert
[computer laptop guide]

jacks.

Professional musicians who seek to mix music will need a computer interface with hot-swapping capabilities. They look for the perfect device, for high-end home studio or project studio environments, which supports a wide array of sample rates, and includes the provision of an high impedance input for integrating guitars and basses as well as switch-able phono preamp. Such a device will benefit audio professionals who add audio dialog or music to presentations, or other visually oriented materials, and composers scoring for picture, computer games, and other multimedia content.

In sum, if the digital interface should be a versatile device that facilitates recording of audio and video on many simultaneous streams, it will be a dream-come-true for musicians who want to mix music digitally.

The interface should have ports that include headphone outputs as well as those that facilitate the cascading of additional devices.

Finally, the audio computer interface you buy has to be affordable. State-of-the-art technology will not get popular unless the end user can afford to buy it. Also, the manufacturer has to offer an attractive warranty on parts as well as labor, apart from good technical support.

Why Spyware Is So Dangerous To You

Why Spyware Is So Dangerous To You [spyware laptop computer]
By Andres
One of the Bad Guys is Spyware and among the very bad Spyware we find "malicious phishing". People who create Phishing sites are skilled computer technicians and basically, talented people. They choose to act in a cowardly manner and like a thief in the night, attack computers in order to obtain personal information from the users. Rather than use their talent to improve and make the Internet more secure for everyone, they hide behind web forgeries and create havoc for others. People who hide behind web forgeries have a Napoleonic complex. There are two main reasons for creating web forgeries, which are in reality Spyware and some of these could contain malware such as a Trojan or worse.

This form of Spyware called Phishing, is a process of trying to fool people into entering personal information into a form, which they can use later to access your accounts. The forgery may appear to be from PayPal, Microsoft, Mozilla, Google or even your Bank website asking for personal information missing from your profile. The email message will say you need to update your profile information. However, the legitimate sites would never send such a message. You should never respond to these sites and the best step to take is click on forward and send the email to Spoof@(the name of the website).
[spyware laptop computer]

If you update this profile form, the Spy will have your personal information in his/her

hands in minutes. Once this fake profile form returns to the Spy, your personal information can be used by the Spy to access your account, make purchases with your credit card and even steal your identity.

Another problem when surfing the Internet are harmful websites to your computer. A good security program will notify you as soon as you click on a harmful site. A warning will appear telling you to close your browser and do not attempt to open the site again. This means the site contains spyware, malware or a similar harmful item, which can harm your computer. Spyware can attach itself to your keyboard, as you type. Spyware can send the information back to the spies who then use any personal information such as your credit card numbers, to make personal purchases.

When visiting some websites the site will drop a cookie into your browser for the purpose of tracking what kind of websites you visit on the Internet and especially what types of purchases you make through the Internet. The companies then use the information gathered to determine the marketing information, which they send to you in two ways. Pop-ups and emails will begin to work their way into your computer. This type of marketing is Spyware and Adware both can be malicious.

Are You Aware Of These Threats On The Internet?

Are You Aware Of These Threats On The Internet? [intertet laptop computet]
By Andres
Scams, such as "Cross-Site Referral Forgery", "One Click Attack" or "Session Riding", can succeed in getting your browser to authorize withdrawals from your bank account. For example, you are part of a forum and in sharing information back and forth with others you unwittingly insert a piece of your private, personal information. Someone in the forum, perhaps the person who is asking personal questions, can and will harvest your personal information from your forum entries and in time get to your accounts.

If those you do business with online use cookies in your browser to authenticate your identity, there is always the potential for a scammer to run a scam. It is a good idea to clear your cache every time you have been on the Internet. Some browsers can be preset to delete all cookies from your cache each time you close the browser.
[intertet laptop computet]

The following characteristics are common to CSRF, which is a process or method used by scammers to gather your personal information you may think is safe. The scammer watches for information, which tells him/her those sites, which rely on your identity. They will then be able to exploit the site's trust in the identification of you or someone else they choose. By using HTTP, the scammer can trick your browser into sending an HTTP request to your Bank or other site, which holds your identity in a cookie in your browser.

The side effects of this action by a scammer can be you suddenly discover a sum of money withdrawn from your bank account, which you personally did not withdraw. In reality, the scammer used information you gave in the forum or elsewhere to trick your browser and your bank and you are the victim.

It cannot be said often enough or loud enough for everyone to hear and respond to the statement: Do not give anyone on the Internet any private, personal or financial information unless the site is a secure site with which you are doing business. A secure site always has https at the beginning of the domain name URL. If you are uncertain or feel uncomfortable about the site, then skip the transaction.

The one-click transaction relates to tracking cookies dropped into your computer without your knowledge. For instance, you go to an E-Commerce website and decide to order something and use your credit card for the purchase. You complete the form and when you are finished you click [Done], when you do this, the Scammer's cookie also clicks [Done] and your order becomes a double order. Who benefits from this? Yes, the person from whom you made the purchase. This is malware and legislators are designing laws to fight this.

How To Block Pop-ups And Use Your Pc Without Being Interrupted

How To Block Pop-ups And Use Your Pc Without Being Interrupted [pc computer laptop]
By Andres
Pop-Ups fall into three categories:

* The browser pop-ups
* The messenger service advertisements
* Adware and spyware pop-ups.

A pop-up is any information, which appears on your screen on top of a page you are viewing. A pop-under occurs under the page you are viewing, so watch your tabs for these guys and close them. In the past, pop-up blockers were a feature in the browser or you added these to your search bar to prevent adware and spyware pop-ups. Pages you visited with additional ads required a click to open the ad on the website, now if you simply pass your mouse pointer over the ad, even accidentally, the ad will Pop-up. Currently, the only way to stop this is to keep your fingers off the mouse unless you intend to open an ad on a page you are visiting.[pc computer laptop]

The general browser pop-ups are general messages telling you something you need to know. An example of a general pop-up is, "Now downloading a security update" or "Do not turn off the computer updates are installing" or "Your computer will turn off when the download is complete". These (and similar messages) are benign messages, which come from your browser as a pop-up. Another such pop-up is a message from your security program telling you, "You have a potentially dangerous virus or spyware scan now". General pop-ups are usually important pieces of information.

Messenger service pop-ups are another story and without a pop-up blocker, they will interfere with your web browsing experience.

They display advertising based on tracking cookies they or a partner company dropped into your browser to track your interests. For instance, if you spend some time searching for a new car in Internet car sales sites, pop-ups begin appearing, offering new cars. You may begin receiving spam car ads in your email inbox.

To stop these messenger service pop-ups install a pop blocker add-on to your search bar. Activate the Internet Explorer Firewall every time you use Internet Explorer. If you are using Windows XP and have not added the XP service pack 2 do this now. The XP SP2 will block pop-ups by using Internet Explorer pop-up blocker settings and allow only pop-ups from secure websites with https in the URL. Some browsers make these messenger service pop-ups are no longer a problem.[pc computer laptop]

Adware and spyware generated pop-up ads function like general browser pop-ups but with a dangerous side effect. These stem from malware and appear to be browser helpers, which are really Active-X controls, which attach to Internet Explorer and export personal and private information back to the person who sent the malware. If a website says: "Activate your ActiveX controls", you should be very careful with that web site (casino sites are known to ask for this for legitimate reasons, but it is too much of a risk to "activate" Active-X by all means.

Do You Know That Some Pop-ups Deliver Parasitic Scumware?

Do You Know That Some Pop-ups Deliver Parasitic Scumware? [computer laptop money]
By Andres
Scumware is one of the coined words used to represent parasites such as Adware and Spyware with attached Malware, a malicious virus or piece of spyware. This scum gets into computers often through open ports in the computer system. Open ports allow messenger service ads (in a gray box trimmed in light blue) to pop-up on the screen. An open port is like a hole in your sock, the longer you wait to repair the hole, the larger the hole will become. In the case of the open port, until you block the port it will allow debris into your computer. The two main ports through which scum enters are TCP 135, 139, 455 and 137 and the UDP 135, 137 and 138. [computer laptop money]

For Windows XP, the best method for closing these ports is upgrading to XP SP2, which shuts off the messenger service and activates the firewall. If the ports used by messenger service ads are closed, then the pop-up ads cannot enter through your browser. You can overcome the pop-ups, so you can enjoy the Internet without the interference.

There are a number of spyware removal products available, some you can get free and others you must pay to download and use. The problem is not every spyware removal product works well and none of the removal products can

remove every piece of spyware, which makes its way into your computer attached to a pop-up. Some pop-ups, containing malware, which is one or more viruses, spyware or adware can do their damage quickly. Therefore, a real-time security program needs to be working on every computer and a spyware removal tool run after every session on the Internet.

The solution to the problem is finding a good product to stop pop-ups with malware attached from entering your computer and this is not an easy task. Even if you find the best product on the market, knowledge is your most important line of defense to any type of threat on the Internet, like: phishing, viruses, scams and a lot of other threats.

Meanwhile, everyone can do a lot to fight against pop-ups of any type by taking the precautions necessary. One of the ways to do this is with a good Internet browser other than Internet Explorer. A good browser fights pop-ups with built in pop-blockers. A good browser and a good pop-up blocker and can prevent most scumware and make you feel much more secure when browsing the Internet. What Is The Difference Between A Good And A Bad Browser?

What Is The Difference Between A Good And A Bad Browser? [browser laptop computer]
By Andres
A good browser should:

* Have security features to protect users from common threats of the Internet.

The infamous Internet Explorer from Microsoft included an extremely dangerous feature into the software back in 1,996 called "Active-X", which is a specification to enable the execution of software inside the browser. This made it possible for Microsoft to run applications like Excel inside the browser, which gave them an incredible advantage comparing to other browsers. The sad side of things is that also they enabled malware to execute within the browser, opening a horrible opportunity for crackers all over the world, which could exploit the smallest error in the program to enable their own software into the browser. If that happens, you can forget about your privacy because all what you type will be seen, maybe by a dangerous cracker at Russia.

* Be free of charge.

All browsers are now free of charge, so it will be very difficult for someone to charge for this type of software. I have seen people charging for giving people more tools in one place, but not charging ethically for this kind of software.
[browser laptop computer]

* Respond rapidly to fix any problem of the software.

Open source browsers have a community of programmers devoted to keep their preferred browser free of errors. These people don't work for the money (there isn't) but for the sake of being in the community that is helping people to feel secure on the Internet. These people respond very fast to any security alert, faster than any company could.

* Offer additional functionality.

Some browsers, as Internet Explorer, were not planned carefully (Microsoft was much more interested in eliminating Netscape from the market than creating a good product) and this makes very difficult to add features because they hurt the overall design of the software. It is like building a house, you make the blueprints and construct it, but if the blueprints are incorrect, you will face a very hard time trying to put a bathroom where there is a corridor now. It will simply be too difficult and that is happening to Internet Explorer.

* Users should have updates often.

Everyone that have worked in the computer industry for some time could tell you that no software is perfect and always should be updated to fix problems. A good browser should offer updates regularly not only to remove errors from it, but also to add useful features. Internet Explorer last update before the current one was in 2,001 (six years ago!), which tells about

the level of compromise of this company with its own browser. Coincidently, after 1,998 Internet Explorer updated itself into a major version each and every year, and in 2,001 got 95% market share. Developments stopped until recently, when they saw the Firefox browser gaining market share very fast.

* Should correct mistakes from users.

We are inclined at times to mistype one or more words, especially when we are hurriedly typing an email message, writing a blog or making an entry on our website. You can use the spell-check feature built in the Mozilla editor without add-ons, to help with your spelling or misspelling of words like receive, believe, relieve or occurrence and occasion. Firefox spell check is always there checking for misspelled words.
[browser laptop computer]

* Should include a search bar.

The search bars like Google and Yahoo anticipate your needs, making suggestions as you search. In Firefox, even you can create shortcuts to access your searches very fast using the feature "Add Keyword To Search". This is done by going to any website where is something to write, click the right button of your mouse and configure the setting you will see. Example: go to youtube.com, put the pointer in the text box, right click the mouse and select "Add Keyword To Search", set the name to: "Quick Search", keyword: yt, and ok. Now at the address bar, write: yt funny and videos with the tag "funny" will appear.

* Should block pop-ups.

Pop-Up blockers offer peace of mind and protecting your eyes from flashing pop-ups and other debris. The pop-up blockers block the ads, which are so irritating because they always seem to land in your line of vision, as you are reading a web page. With your pop-up blockers turned on, the search engines can quickly bring to you uncluttered web pages with no pop-ups.

* Should be able to restore if something happens.

The "Session Restore" is a really good feature because if you have to suddenly close the browser for some reason, the browser with this capability remembers what web page you were on. When you reopen the browser, a message will appear reminding you the previous session is open and you can choose to return to the same page or pages you were on or chose to begin a new session. Most of us do not like to start over from the beginning, and so; this feature is great, especially if we do not bookmark an Internet page for future use.

What's The Best Computer And Why

What's The Best Computer And Why [computer laptop notebook]
By Richard
You might be surprised at the answer. Through the years I have been asked this question many times. People understandably would like to know the answer before spending their money. Many think that the only answer is in the big names that they have heard. And it's no wonder these same companies have spent millions promoting their names.

What would make up the best computer? In my opinion it should have a minimum of these qualities. Be reliable, easy to upgrade, parts readily available, easy to work on and long lasting. The only one that meets all these requirements is the generic computer that is built by you or a computer dealer.

Computers are different than almost any other product. You probably wouldn't want to build your own car for example. But early on manufacturers began supplying Cases motherboards and the rest of the parts to build a computer. So an industry sprang up and some bigger companies plus local dealers built computer to your specifications. These had many advantages the main one being that you could find parts anywhere at reasonable prices.
[computer laptop notebook]

What sometimes happens for example is say a motherboard goes bad. Because of the way the major manufacturers computer is built a generic or another manufacturers won't fit this has nothing to do with the electronics it's a mechanical thing it physically won't fit or screw holes won't line up. Now the generic motherboard might run $80.00 to $100.00 while the major manufacturers could be $250.00 to $300.00 or more. After paying that much for parts plus the labor many are

thrown in the junk rather than fixing. The same goes for power supplies. Many times the off the shelf power supplies won't work in these computers. They will make you pay dearly and many times the power supply will need to be special ordered from the major manufacturer.

In other respects I think the computers are about equal. Taking into account that almost all of the parts in the major Brands are made by the same companies that make the generic parts. In selecting your generic computer do some research in is quality of product. What desktop computers will last, and which ones would not? What are the highest quality components? Does the company offering you desktop computer deals provide good warranties? Finding a cheap computer is less exciting when you find out that that computer is a lemon. The fact is that desktop computer deals are not real deals if you get a machine that doesn't last out of them.

Our discussion has only covered desktops and the pc. The apple computer is a different story and isn't covered here. Laptops are another story also and I will cover these in another article. If you were to ask almost any computer dealer I think most would agree with what I have said.
[computer laptop notebook]

Lately the majors have started to make their computers more compatible. Maybe they have begun to see the light. In the mean time I hope you will consider buying your computer from your local dealer or repair shop.

Refilling Ink Cartridges Secret's Of A Pro

Refilling Ink Cartridges Secret's Of A Pro [laptop computer secret]
By Richard
We will provide tips and tricks to refilling the newer cartridges. The newer cartridges are harder but with the techniques we will show you will have a greater chance of success.

The new cartridge is much smaller now this changes things a lot with regard to refilling. The problem is that the entire sponge must be filled with ink in order to hold the recommended amount of ink. This is hard to achieve for the amateur because of air in the sponge.

The professional filler fills the cartridge under a high vacuum this removes the air and then the ink is injected. Only after the sponge is filled completely is air let back into the cartridge. This works very well and if the empty is a good one it almost always results in a working cartridge. Now we are talking about the small cartridges produced in the last 2 or 3 years. That is like the small the HP 56 and 57and The Lexmark 16 and 26.

So what can you do to increase your chances of success? First thing is don't try to fill the cartridge to it's full capacity. For instance the HP 56 originally had 19 ML so only put in 8 to 10 ML of ink. Trying to fill it full will only result in leaking and other problems.
[laptop computer secret]

Because of the air problem I recommend that you insert the needle as far as possible and angle it toward the print head. Another thing that can help is to use a gravity feed. Remove the plunger from the syringe and put in the correct amount of ink. Let the ink slowly enter the cartridge by gravity.

Don't try and fill a cartridge that been sitting around for weeks or months. Even the professional have problems with these. Fill the cartridge at the first sign that it's going dry.

After filling your cartridge you may find that it won't work at all. When you

touch it against a paper towel nothing at all comes out. There's a channel between the print head and the compartment that has the sponge. If this channel gets empty it can take some effort to get it filled with ink. You can buy a cartridge primer to solve this problem. These clip onto the cartridge and the syringe hooks to it. You pull out on the plunger of the syringe and this sucks ink into the empty void I was talking about. You can find these by doing a search on Google or another search engine.

The other way of forcing ink into the cartridges uses centrifugal force. Don't do this where ink can get on anything! Start at about shoulder height and bring the cartridge rapidly down to about your knee. Stop abruptly and the ink tries to keep going forcing it up into the print head. You may have to do this several times before your successful. Keep checking by touching the print head against a paper towel. Ink should come out freely. Buying a primer is by far the best method.

The other reason the cartridge won't print at all is that it is dripping ink. A dripping cartridge won't print right and in most cases it won't print at all. If you have over filled then you can suck some of the ink out. Or you may let it set for 2 or 3 hours a will usually do the trick.

Remember we are talking about cartridges that aren't dried out. If your cartridge are dried out I would recommend buying new or refilled cartridges, as you will probably have a lot of problems. Also we are talking about Hp And Lexmark cartridges. For the others I recommend buying new compatibles, as it's cheaper in the in the long run.

Advanced Techniques For Unclogging Print Heads

Advanced Techniques For Unclogging Print Heads [computer laptop notebook]
By Richard
WE will begin with the simple easiest methods and then get into some of the ways the professional printer tech gets them unclogged.

Dealing with a clogged print head can be frustrating but this is no time to get into a hurry. Cleaning solvents can take many hours to do the job. And remember your trying to save the life of a printer. If all fails you printer may be ready for the printer graveyard. I'm talking about printers with the built in print heads here. It's probably best to explain the different types of printers now.

There are two rough categories of printers one with the print head built into the printer. For example Epson some Xerox and Canon .The other are Hp and Lexmark, which have the print heat built into the cartridge.

On most of the printers with built in print heads it is a major job to remove the print heads so all of our cleaning methods are with them left in the printer.

Most of the clogs that occur while you are printing aren't severe. The ones that are in many cases tough are when the printer has been sitting for a long time without being used. In this case the ink can dry as hard as a rock.
[computer laptop notebook]

The first thing to do is to run the print head cleaning cycle 3 to 5 times. If you don't know how to do this check your manual or check online for a manual if you don't have one. After running the cleaning cycles, check the print out for the slightest change for the better. If it's getting better let it cool for a few minutes and continue. If it stays the same or gets worse move on to the next method.

Epson recommends running the cleaning cycle several times then printing a test page. Don't print a test page after each cleaning cycle on a tough clog. It does waste more ink this way but is necessary when you have one that is badly clogged.

If you still have problems its time to move on to more advanced methods. On Ebay you can purchase a Cleaner Called E.K.S. in small quantities. I'm in no way affiliated with this company by the way. Just type in Epson head cleaner and it will come up. This cleaner will work for all other brands also. I recommend that you keep some of this on hand if you have this type of printer.

Normally if you open the printer cover you can't move the print heads around. So here's what we do. Turn on the printer and

watch the print heads move around while they are still moving unplug the power cord. Now you can move the print heads back and forth with your fingers. Take a piece of paper towel and cut out apiece about 3 inches long and 1 and a half wide. Fold this accordion style until you have a strip about one half inches wide. This isn't critical.Put some of the head cleaner on the paper towel and lay the paper down flat and move the print head until it's over the paper. You may have to work at this there's not too much extra room to get the paper under there. The wet towel will stay moist for several hours and keep the head wet with solvent. This is one of the most powerful ways of getting the job done.[computer laptop notebook]

Check the towel every few hours and if it's dried out apply a little cleaner with a syringe. Let it sit at least overnight for a real stubborn clog. Leave the printer cartridges out because it can wick all of the ink out of the cartridge. Apply a little of the solvent to the little pins that go up into the cartridge to keep this area wet also. Use the cleaner sparingly as you don't want to get this cleaner down onto the circuit boards. This would cause a short and maybe ruin the printer.

When you get ready to run a print test remember that it may take awhile for the print head to get filled with ink so it might not print on the first tries even if it's unclogged. There is one other method that techs use. Get a short length of one-eighth inch clear plastic tubing at a hardware store. Hook this onto a syringe. Slip the plastic tubing over the little pins the ones that go into the cartridge. Then push in on the plunger to try to force air through the print head. Always push the air through don't try to suck air through by pulling on the plunger.

If the printer is under warranty you could just send it back for repairs instead of going through this. But if not under warranty it will probably cost you more than it's worth to send it to the factory, as they will many times replace the print heads. If you don't have any of the recommended cleaner and it's an emergency you might try a solution of 50% distilled water and 50 % ammonia. Well good luck I hope this helps.

How To Save Extraordinary Amounts Of Money On Ink

How To Save Extraordinary Amounts Of Money On Ink [money computer laptop]
By Richard
Please read this article it could save hundreds or even thousands of dollars on ink cartridges. I've been in the cartridge refill business for 6 years now and there's one thing that I have learned. There is a lot of BS going around about ink cartridges. I'm here to set you straight and save you plenty on ink.

Of coarse the manufacturers will try to force you to buy their cartridges and that's understandable because of the very high markup on ink cartridges. They will try to make you think that compatible or refilled cartridges will damage your printer. Lets look at it this way if you used 5 compatibles you would save enough to buy that $99.00 printer. So what are you afraid of?

Now let me tell you I have customers bringing their printers to my shop all the time. The fact is print heads clog up just as often with originals as they do with compatibles. There is no magic in original cartridges, although billions in advertising has brought the manufacturers to almost the level of gods in some people's minds. In fact some of the newer color cartridges with the pigmented ink are the worst of all. After the ink dries it's almost impossible to dissolve even with their cleaner.

One of my customers bought a printer on Ebay and it was promptly shipped out and arrived 3 days later. But the sender had removed the cartridges and put them in plastic bags. This is not the thing to do! The heads were so dried out that that manufacturers own cleaner wouldn't unclog it. This was with original manufacturers cartridges. If you ship a printer be sure and leave the cartridges in it.
[money computer laptop]

With spectrometers and other equipment ink manufacturers can very closely determine what is in ink and duplicate it. You know scientists can tell the composition of stars billions of miles away, do you think it's a problem to tell what in ink?

I had a customer come in one day and he had on of those expensive printers that take 6 cartridges. He said well I'll try just 2 to see how they work. He didn't sound very convinced. He came in a few days later and said I couldn't hardly believe it If anything the pictures look even better.

What happens is that when a printer clogs up it is immediately blamed on the ink compatible or refilled cartridge. When the problem is that the printer hasn't been used often enough. Another thing that happens is that printers have a parked position where the print head sometimes drip some

ink. This area usually on the extreme right of the printer is always black with ink and most people don't even notice it. But after getting a cartridge refilled or using a compatible they go looking for ink and then they spot this ink and say your cartridges is leaking all over the place. They have heard that refills leak. Properly filled cartridges do not leak

What basally causes clogs is the printer isn't used often enough. I recommend printing a page every day or two. I see some manufacturers recommend printing at least every two-week but I have found this isn't nearly often enough. I have seen on the Internet a free utility made for this that automatically prints a page a day. Maybe you can find it. . On refills if the empties have been sitting around for weeks or months there may be a problem with clogs. The fillers may have powerful equipment to clean cartridges but dried up ink inside the cartridge can break loose later causing a clog.
[money computer laptop]

At my business we basally fill the customers own cartridge. So if the customer brings it to us in a reasonable length of time there is no problem. However after years of trying to educate people it still happens that some still let them set around for months before getting them filled.

So after all this how much can I save? If you can use compatible cartridges you can get good American made cartridges at a savings of 70% or more. Now that's like buying gas at 75 cents a gallon, now that what I call a savings. If compatible cartridges aren't available for your printer you must use refills and can save 25 to 40%. In another article what's The Best Printer and Why I explain the difference between these types of printers.

Money gets tighter and tighter for many people. It makes sense to save money where you can. Some schools and other large users could be saving thousands and the taxpayer is paying the bill. You can also do refills yourself but some of the newer cartridges are difficult. I will have an article on this later. I'm for the little man. I see on some forums people recommending that you use originals only. I can only say I think they are repeating what they have heard from others. I doubt that they really know much about the subject. I f you use refills and let your empties set around for months before refilling

What Kind Of Digital Av Interface Is Right For Music Pros?

What Kind Of Digital Av Interface Is Right For Music Pros? [computer laptop music]
By Richard
How would you define a good Digital Audio-Video Computer Interface? To start with, it should allow peripherals to be connected to a computer. It should involve high-speed serial input/output (I/O) technology, devised for this purpose. Such a device should be among the fastest developed for using with multimedia peripherals such as video camcorders and other high-speed devices such as the latest hard disk drives and printers.

A device such as this will be similar to a Universal Serial Bus (USB) port in many ways. This technology will deliver maximum benefit if used with higher-speed multimedia peripherals such as video camcorders, music synthesizers, and hard disks.

In stark contrast, USB is useful with various lower-speed input devices such as keyboards, mice, and joysticks. Both technologies can coexist on Modern-day PCs which come equipped with ports, for such devices, with capability of operating up to 400 megabits.

The interface should be equipped with "Hot plug" capability to do away with the need of turning off or restarting the computer whenever you want to attach a new peripheral. Its ease of use should also derive from a host of other features such as automatic configuration, no device IDs or terminators, and simple-to-use cables. (In other words, you shouldn't have to open up your computer, and put in a card.) Also,

the interface must be able to support scores of devices per computer.

What would a music pro look for, in an AV computer interface? A professional, or even a semi-professional musician, would look for a fast, effective interface for recording vocals and musical instruments.

Such an interface would revolutionize video on desktop computers. Using this device, a music pro should be able to create broadcast-quality video at consumer prices.
[computer laptop music]

The new generation of digital video (DV) camcorders have ports specifically designed for such an interface. These camcorders rely on digital technology to deliver clean, crisp video, and in the process deal older analog formats a death blow. Thus, video is captured as digital data without any conversion losses, directly into your computer. In other words, you get a perfect digital copy, thanks to the interface.

Thus, it would be the perfect computer interface for any project that incorporates digital audio and/or MIDI, including for musicians. It is ideal for audio professionals, who prepare audio (dialog or music) for presentations or other visually oriented materials, and composers scoring for pictures, computer games, and other multimedia content.

How To Learn Computer Programming Without A College Degree

How To Learn Computer Programming Without A College Degree [computer sell programming]
By Kingsley

If you want to learn computer programming and cannot afford to study computer science in college then knowing how to train for a computer programming career by teaching yourself programming will change your life. So I am going to discuss how to begin a computer programming career when college just isn't an option.

Though it is easier to find a programming job with the help of a computer science degree, a good number of computer programmers don't have a degree in computer science or a college degree at all. What this group of people discovered is that the secret to becoming a computer programmer is to develop expert programming skills and gain serious, real-world programming experience, the kind of experience that makes you more skilled than others who have computer science degrees.

What Are Employers Really Looking For?
Employers are impressed by your technical mastery of computer programming more than anything else. Yes, you can become a programmer by learning programming skills in college but keep this at the back of your mind that computer science degrees and other formal methods of learning programming is only a means to an end. So whether you study programming by self-learning and home study courses or you learn programming in college, you will end up with the same up opportunities and challenges including editing your resume for specific software developer jobs, preparing for technical interviews, job hunting and developing good quality, reliably computer programs on time and under budget.
[computer sell programming]

IT Is Easy To Study Computer Programming And Get A Job
One of the best kept advantages of becoming a computer programmer is that you can learn computer programming at home and advance your skills to the level where you become really good without first getting a programming job. When I realized this more than 10 years ago, I was excited that I could just buy a computer, connect it to the internet and learn as much of programming as I want without having to get a programming job first. Of course, I realized that I would still have invest in programming books, invest in buying programming languages, and invest in training packages that will allow me to learn programming on my own. However, I figured that the total costs of these investments in my computer programming training would pale in comparison to how much I was sure to earn as a computer programmer and would also pay in comparison to how much it would cost me to study medicine or law or engineering or even computer science in college. At the end of the day, I took my training and getting well-paying contract programming jobs within 6 months. An opportunity I knew I would not have with any other high paying career.

Yes, You Can Get A Computer Programming Job Without A College Degree
After more than 10 years, spent working several software development jobs, I have a lot of personal, intimate knowledge of how the industry works. I have worked with talented software programmers who got

into programming with a high school education or dropped out of college to begin a programming career. So, I am always a bit surprised when someone that I am coaching or someone who runts into me on my blog at www.IT-CAREER-COACH.NET tells me they can not start their programming career because they do not have a college education or a computer science degree.

If you are saying this to yourself, then you are just making excuses for not taking action. Let me tell you that from my experience as a software developer mentor, I have discovered that people make excuses to themselves because they are not ready to hold themselves accountable to results. So, they either complain about how old they are or how poor they are or they complain about the time it will take them to learn programming or complain that they cannot afford to go to college and study computer science or complain that programming textbooks are too expensive and they go on like that. Okay, I am telling you now that there is nothing stopping you from beginning your programming career if you really want to and it's not as hard as you think it is.
[computer sell programming]

Now Is The Best Time To Become A Computer Programmer
I have answered your quest on how to become computer programmer without going to college and it is now your turn to act on all the information you just received on how to succeed in programming. On my blog at www.IT-Career-Coach.NET,I coach, mentor and train individuals from all over the world who want to transition to a software developer career or become an expert computer programmer. MY experience has shown me people do not achieve their goals when they are too scared to act. People are usually scared to act when they are misinformed and do not have enough information or accurate information. But by raising the level of awareness of how possible and easy it is to start a programming career and succeed at it on my www.IT-CAREER-COACH.NET blog, I have been successful at helping people transition into and succeed at computer programming.

If you want to learn programming or become an expert computer programmer, I recommend you read "the street smart guide to computer programmer careers" book which shows you how to learn computer programming in as little as 4 months. The book will shave years off your learning curve by showing you how to learn programming fast, how to improve your resume, how to ace programming job interviews and how to gain the programming experience that helps you succeed easily.

Protect Your Computer From Intrusion By Hackers And From Viruses

Protect Your Computer From Intrusion By Hackers And From Viruses [virus computer protection]
By Kevin
If you're connected to the Internet (especially with an "always on" connection such as cable or DSL), you're at risk for intrusion from hackers or with infection from a virus or spyware. This can happen without your knowledge. You can be browsing, logging on and off various web sites, etc., and be compromised. However, you can protect yourself from this type of intrusion by following a few simple steps.

Using Routers and Firewalls

If you don't already have one, you should get yourself a router. This is important even if you only use one computer. This is a type of hardware firewall, which is the best kind. It will protect any personal information you have stored on your computer and will keep it safe. It will also protect you computer from being infected with various viruses.

Because hackers try to gain access to your computer by doing what's called "port scanning," a router can completely block the scans or at least slow a hacker's progress down. Most hackers want to work fast and won't waste a lot of time trying to get around a single router. Instead, they'll move on to someone else who doesn't have a computer that's well protected and that can be hacked.
[virus computer protection]

You can also use a software firewall. Oftentimes, your operating system will already have one included. One good example of this is Windows' firewall. Others include Norton, McAfee, or ZoneAlarm. All of today's software firewalls have several packages to choose from.

In order to protect yourself from unwanted intrusion, spyware, viruses or hacking, you'll need the following components:

- An antivirus protection program
- A spyware scanner and removal program
- An automated virus scanner and removal program
- A firewall

Antivirus protection program

An antivirus protection program will scan your computer for viruses and then will quarantine them or will delete them if it can. It will give you the choice, oftentimes, as to whether or not to delete or quarantine. There are many good antivirus program is available. You can also buy complete packages. Many ISPs also provide their own antivirus programs, so make sure that your ISP does not offer one before you purchase one.
[virus computer protection]

Once an antivirus program is downloaded and installed, it will run in the background to make sure that your computer is always protected. Most antivirus programs will update hourly to daily. You can set them so that they will update automatically and therefore keep your computer protected with new definitions all the time. Again, this is especially important if your computer is "always online," as with DSL or cable connection versus dial-up. If set up correctly, your computer will have maximum protection from new virus intrusions.

Being armed with the proper virus protection is the best thing you can do for your computer to keep it running smoothly and to avoid unwanted intrusion.

Spyware scanning and removal program

Spyware can be installed on your computer

without your knowing it whenever you download something for "free" from a web site, for example. At its most innocuous, it's meant to keep track of your browsing habits online; however, more malicious spyware can even give hackers the opportunity to access personal information such as credit card numbers, for example. Regardless, spyware is something that really doesn't belong on your computer. Even if it's "innocuous," it can eat up system resources and slow down your browsing significantly. Simply put, it should be removed.

To do this, there are many spyware programs available, for free. Again, Windows has its own spyware component called "Windows Defender," that does quite a good job of protecting your computer from spyware, including its installation. Other programs, such as Lavasoft Adaware, have both a paid version and a free version. Adaware does not protect your computer from new spyware, but will remove spyware once on your computer for free.

An automated virus scanner and removal program

In most cases, the virus scanner and removal program will be included with your antivirus software. Because your computer has the antivirus software running in the background all the time, your computer is protected from new viruses as often as it's updated. Therefore, frequent updates will help ensure that your computer is not infected with new virus definitions. However, if a virus does happen to make it onto your computer, you'll need a regular virus scan (usually daily to weekly) to make sure any viruses that have gotten on to your computer are removed.

As part of your antivirus software (generally), when you run the virus scan, the program will opt to either automatically quarantine or remove any viruses it finds or will ask you what you would like to do with them, depending on the options you set. In most cases, it's probably best to go with the default choice the program gives you. Most of these programs tell you to let the program choose what to do with the viruses it finds.

A firewall

A firewall is your first line of defense against anyone hacking into your computer. There are many software versions available if you don't want to use a router, and some are free to download, although most of these also have paid versions with more features. One of these which is highly recommended is ZoneAlarm. If you are not a commercial user, you can get it for free by visiting the Zonealarm site.

This software lets you set individual Internet access capabilities for individual programs, allows for automatic program configuration, and puts your computer into stealth mode, which makes your computer invisible to anyone else on the Internet. It also blocks intrusion to anyone trying to hack into your system automatically. A paid version also includes virus protection with ZoneAlarm if you choose.

Adware And Spyware Software

Adware And Spyware Software [software computer adware]
By Hans
When you're learning about something new, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer amount of relevant information available. This informative adware and spyware article should help you focus on the central points.

Adware is any software application software which makes banners appear the whole time it is in function. Also, the adware program can install components that will transmit information about the user and its behavior and this work on his PC. Unlike spyware programs, the user is asked when the program is being installed. Actually, an adware application is the application that, along with its basic functionality, has a different one, the one that makes it show commercials once in a while, downloaded periodically from certain internet servers.

Spyware is a program, usually downloaded from the internet, which sends information about the user without him knowing it, every time he connects to the internet. Usually, the packages sent contain marketing information and not confidential information, although some programs can do that too.

Even if some applications are both adware and spyware, this is not a generally true situation. Most of the times spyware applications have installed themselves and they are working without the user knowing it, opposing the adware applications that cannot be installed without the consent of the user.
[software computer adware]

For a long time quality and free software was installed and used for free but once the complexity of the programs became greater their costs have risen till the point the developers just had to find out methods to diminuate them. One of the easiest ways was delivering along with their programs application like adware and spyware. On the other hand, many commercial

programs became usable freely and legally by passing the line to the adware category.

Hopefully the information presented so far has been applicable. You might also want to consider the following:

From the harmless intention of showing some commercials and till elements of analyzing and stocking information about the user and his software or hardware configuration the developers had to install on the target computer supplementary modules. If at the beginning it was only an engine that downloaded commercials and showed them in pre-calculated windows, the adware industry has evolved and grew a great bit since then. Now they use different instruments, from altering your browser and its settings and till launching background applications that monitor your PC activity.

Among the effects that follow installing spyware and adware are the next ones:

-Adding links to various magazines
-Adding new commercials on the web pages, sometimes replacing the existent ones
-Monitoring browser behavior in commercial purposes.
-Gaining access to passwords and credit cards.
-Slowing down the computer.
-In some cases they can call telephone numbers with high costs.
-Changing the browser's homepage in commercial purposes.
-Strange icons and new software might appear on the desktop.
[software computer adware]

You can enter their online sites and try the services for free, then decide what to use.

Hopefully the sections above have contributed to your understanding of adware and spyware. Share your new understanding about adware and spyware with others. They'll thank you for it.

Video Editing Software: A Modern Marvel

Video Editing Software: A Modern Marvel [computer laptop software]
By Lorraine
Today's editing computers are a marvel in my opinion. Did you know that before computers, it took around one million dollars of equipment to stock a professional editing room? You needed multiple tape decks, a switcher, an effects generator, a character generator, an audio mixer, signal enhancers, multiple monitors and years of experience to operate it all.
To rent out all this stuff by the hour, it cost $500-$1,000 per hour to edit. A thirty second spot could easily take ten hours to edit, even a relatively simple one. That's ten grand just for one step in the production of something that lasts half a measly minute!

Ouch!

We've got it great compared to that. Today, ten grand is More than enough to buy a total system and all the software you'd ever need to edit a lifetime of shows.

Computer editing is loads of fun and the creative possibilities are endless.

Computer editing revolutionized the entire television and video production industry. Computer video editing put power in the hands of the little guy, not just the companies that could afford million-dollar edit suites.

For a small investment, (maybe nothing beyond a computer that has free video editing software already on it) you have the opportunity to produce professional quality edited video stories.

I got windows movie maker version 5.1 free on the Compaq I bought at Sams Club for half-off after Christmas.

Movie maker will easily edit together you video and add professional looking graphics. You have two lines of audio that you can cut and paste. Any Mac comes with free iMovie, which is probably a better program than movie maker and certainly a killer freebie. Both of them are killer freebies. If you want more creative and complex editing options than what freebies give you, you can get awesome software for $50-$300. If you go full tilt boogie, software that Hollywood uses can be had for $1,300 Apple's final cut pro, now called Studio 2, is the ultimate video editing software experience in my humble opinion.

When FCP first came on the market, it was chump change at $1,000, compared to its competitor, Avid with it's $50,000 version of media composer. At the time, people were clamoring to learn media composer because it seemed like such a revolutionary bargain compared to the million-dollar fully equipped suites. Then, all of a sudden, you can get a program equal to media composer for just a grand?
[computer laptop software]

Holy crap!

Final cut pro's price today of $1,299 might seem high to newbies, but the power of FCP can not be understated. It can do anything you can imagine and then some. Hollywood uses FCP. However, chances are you're not Hollywood bound. Final cut express is only $300 and gives you all the punch you'd probably ever want unless you're competing on the very uppermost levels. FCE is what I just bought.

Many companies put out video editing software but I must confess my prejudice for Macs and Apple editing software. That's what I always used when working for large companies and the vast majority of professionals I know prefer Apple computers to PCs for video editing and other large-file creative tasks. There're a million and one reasons for that, but I've seen such heated debates about the topic, it's scary. Here's an actual conversation

I witnessed: We'll get PC's for editing over my dead body! That can be arranged! I hate those crazy things!

I try not to get that hot about it, but my money goes to Apple.

Since PCs solidly dominate the market whether I think they should or not, there are plenty of video editing programs for the PC market.

Sony Vegas movie studio is popular. I've seen it for $99 at the Best Buy store down the street and for $63.99 on Amazon. The reviews are mixed, some people give up in confusion but others plod through the learning curve and say it's a good program. It can do quite a bit more than the freebies.

Corel DVD movie maker 6 goes for about $48 on Amazon and pinnacle studio runs about $50. Neither is quite as sophisticated as Sony Vegas, but as the price indicates, you can do more with them than you can with the freebies.

Corel paint shop pro for still picture and Sony Vegas combine into one and they call it Corel Sony visual creation. $110 on Amazon.

Video editing software has a learning curve, but it's really not any more difficult than using a word processing program.

Keep in mind that video editing demands a lot of your computer. Video files are huge, and making them spin and dance requires power. Get the biggest, most powerful computer you can afford. The Mac G-5 blows any other computer out of the pond when it comes to computer video editing. But whatever you have can work.

Keep Your Home Wireless Network Secure

Keep Your Home Wireless Network Secure [Secure wireless computer]

Working from home has its advantages, including no commute, a more flexible work schedule and fresh coffee and home-cooked meals whenever you want.

But working from home while using a wireless local area network (WLAN) may lead to theft of sensitive information and hacker or virus infiltration unless proper measures are taken. As WLANs send information over radio waves, someone with a receiver in your area could be picking up the transmission, thus gaining access to your computer.

They could load viruses on to your laptop which could be transferred to the company's network when you go back to work.

Up to 75 per cent of WLAN users do not have standard security features installed, while 20 per cent are left completely open as default configurations are not secured, but made for the users to have their network up and running ASAP. [Secure wireless computer]

It is recommended that wireless router/access point setup be always done though a wired client.

Change default administrative password on wireless router/access point to a secured password.

Enable at least 128-bit WEP encryption on both card and access point. Change your WEP keys periodically. If equipment does not support at least 128-bit WEP encryption, consider replacing it.

Although there are security issues with WEP, it represents minimum level of security, and it should be enabled.

Change the default SSID on your router/access point to a hard to guess name. Setup your computer device to connect to this SSID by default.

Setup router/access point not to broadcast the SSID. The same SSID needs to be setup on the client side manually. This feature may not be available on all equipment.

Block anonymous Internet requests or pings.

On each computer having wireless network card, network connection properties should be configured to allow connection to Access Point Networks Only. Computer to Computer (peer to peer) Connection should not be allowed.

Enable MAC filtering. Deny association to wireless network for unspecified MAC addresses. Mac or Physical addresses are available through your computer device network connection setup and they are physically written on network cards. When adding new wireless cards / computer to the network, their MAC addresses should be registered with the router /access point.

Network router should have firewall features enabled and demilitarized zone (DMZ) feature disabled.

You can test your hardware and personal firewalls using Shields Up test available at http://www.grc.com.

All computers should have a properly configured personal firewall in addition to a hardware firewall.

Update router/access point firmware when new versions become available.

Locate router/access point away from strangers so they cannot reset the router/access point to default settings. [Secure wireless computer]

Locate router/access point in the middle of the building rather than near windows to limit signal coverage outside the building.

While none of the measure suggested above provides full protection as countermeasures exist, a collection of suggested measures will act as a deterrent against attacker when other insecure networks represent easier targets.

It’s Getting Harder to Watch Movies (CODEX)

It’s Getting Harder to Watch Movies (CODEX) [codex movie computer]

After a long, exhausting day you came home, had your dinner and then sat in front of the TV looking for a nice relaxing movie. Nothing! Then suddenly you remembered that you bought the CD of the new, Oscar-winning movie “Million Dollar Baby”. You took out your laptop, inserted the first CD and hit “play”. To your surprise, the only thing you could see was a green screen. You took out the CD, cursing at the media market that gave you a “broken” CD for the fifth time. Tried the second CD; again the frustrating green screen. First thing in the morning, you took your “broken” movies and went to the shop. Having yelled at the owner of the shop for five minutes, you suddenly noticed the cynical smile on the guy’s face. Having the opportunity to talk, the shop keeper said “CODEX”.

All you needed were the codecs for these movies. They were not broken; they were just coded in a “foreign” language to your media player. The codecs were the dictionary that your laptop had to use to translate the absurd computer language to the nice scenes of the movies.

Every video, audio, picture or even word document files are coded in a different way. In the case of big data entries like movies, the computer has to use different algorithms to compress the data so that the size does not exceed the standard limits. We see this compression in PDF files (Acrobat Reader), in MP3 files (WinAMP), in MPEG files (movies), in each and every data storage file that you can imagine. While the compression is being done, the programs use some kind of a dictionary. Without these “dictionaries” (codecs in the case of video and audio files) the code would seem as meaningless to the player or the viewer as it is to you. So you have to install certain codecs to be able to use certain files. [codex movie computer]

Some codecs replace the repetitive symbols over the file, ome codecs changes the aspect ratio of the movie; some of them decrease the quality of the picture and yet, all of them turn gigabytes of data into fair size that can fit into a CD or a DVD.

As the user demands increases, codecs are multiplying in a logarithmic scale. There are several codecs that are musts for movie fans, however. You should install most of these if you don’t want to be disappointed.

1. MPEG4 - It is the default codec which is already included in WMP.
2. DIVX - A series of sound and display codex which come with shareware DIVX player.
3. XVID - Relatively new, one of the most used video codecs.
4. AC3 - Most common sound codec.
5. Intel Indeo - Rather useful series of codec which a new version pops out everyday.

Overall the way movies are encoded is changing day by day. Everyday we see a new aspect ratio. Everyday we encounter a new codec. To many, it would seem that it is getting harder and hard to watch movies. The least you can do is to download a codec viewer program which would help you on your quest for a pleasant evening.[codex movie computer]
